English off road cycle touring trails?

You could make a tour so boring it becomes interesting. After a day of touring MK's cycle lanes, spend the night in a Travelodge and the following day head down the Union Canal for another 60 odd boring miles.

There are actually some interesting things around them, including a pagoda and a dinosaur as well as the famous cows, but that zig zagging route is mainly an exercise in stupidity to beat Cambridgeshire's 60 miles.

I've done it on an mtb and not sure I'd fancy some of those climbs on a tourer but if Ticktockmy can do it, it must be possible! Kudos!!!

There are some hairy slopes when riding the SDW in the winter, the little zigzaz down to Littleton farm going west when there rain or ice on the chalk make it a interesting ride any time of year

I was planning to do it about 4 years ago but other things got in the way but hopefully one day I'll do it, as it looks awesome. Wild camping where possible along the route.
