I'm quite envious of the Scottish Cycle Chatters meeting up for rides.

Ok, let me put it to you this way. Do you wish you were actually scottish, or just like the idea of riding around in a gormless herd?

The best thing you could do is form a gang of rancheros to go up and lasoo a couple of these cycling sheep in case they proliferate.

Us East Yorkshire CCers have been meeting up as well. You should get something organised. It's really not that hard, and everyone I've met so far has been lovely.

Planning a ride isn't difficult:

Decide it's you who will do the organising

Fix a route in your mind

Name a start place and time

See how many turn up

Do it again a few weeks later

Repeat through the winter

Repeat through the winter until some of the other buggers turns up!

Is there a minimum standard of cyclist who could tag along on this jaunt? I am getting quite into the idea of a group ride but I aint exactly the quickest cat on the block

Room for a sluggish n00b?

Barnet,
I have in the past tried to get other forummers together with varying degrees of success. I would be up for a meet. Count me in.

OK. I'll organise it. Even if a handful turn up it is the start of something big and beautiful.

I propose Saturday 21st November. Hands up who wants to come along, then we can work out a route to suit all all.

50 miles? Too short?

Come on you Southerners!

EDIT: Sitting Duck - all abilities welcome. I'll be in your slipstream.

It's going to be a long, lonely winter, CoG! ;)
