Me too, but I'd settle for a much cheaper one

Will you be saying that when in a few years its value has maybe doubled.
I was a very busy car dealer between 1976 and 1988, I resist lokking at the value now of some of the cars that passed through my fingers.

My son sold his 308 GTS about 8 years ago for only £25,000 maybe £60,000 now. I sold mine for £7,000 in 1979 maybe the same, I am the one needing bumps felt.
Agreed,
Back in the early 70's, even such cars as the AC Cobra (real ones, not 'fake-snakes') were just second hand cars that no-one wanted, & could barely give away especially with a 289 (4.7litres), or 427 (7 litres)
Nowadays, a genuine, unmolested 427, can fetch £250,000 - as one did last year

It's a similar situation in the States, with 'muscle cars', eg;

(have previously read of a similar Challenger breaking $400,000)

It's called scene tax. See also MGBs, air-cooled VWs, pre-2001 Minis and Land Rovers.
And early Range Rovers
'Number 1' was sold by the garage that had owned it for years, & at (as stated) less than expected - think it stayed in the UK though

how much will they be worth when there no fuel for them....

A lot, there are plenty of cars going up in value that are never driven.

Here for rides.
There is if only I had a crystal ball. Pop up headlight MX5 is still affordable.
Think Japanese. Think 'hot'. Think European, think quirky, think power-to-weight. Fiat Multipla, Panda 100bhp.

MR2 much better car than MX5 imo but both are future classics.

The early Uno Turbo, must have had 10 of them cannot remember for how much but not the £7500 and upwards they are now.

Possibly THE ugliest car ever built, IMHO..
Why oh why would anyone ever buy one of these? xx(
Quite apart from it's ugliness, it is also a FIAT (Fix It Again Tomorrow).

On a similar theme, about twelve years ago I sold a Capri 1.6 Laser for £500, I've just seen a similar one on Autotrader for £6000, ah well.

I think I may be having a midlife crisis now though, as whilst on there I started looking at TVRs.

Wonder what a grade 1 condition 2.8i, or 280 Brooklands would be?

We almost bought a Cerbera back in 2008, but I couldn't quite talk SWMBO into it, so ended up with a XKR instead

It was far too civilised, but it did mean I got the chance to test-drive Chimera, Griffith 500 (although I first drove one of those back in 2005) & a 4.5 Cerbera^_^:becool:

I'd prefer the yellow one, & unless it's just whilst it's in the garage, the white one (strictly speaking) is illegal for road-use
