True story, I was on a boat cruise on the Rhine probably about 24 years ago now with my wife (fiance as was) surrounded by Germans and trying to get served a beer by the roving waiter, who was doing a spectacular job of ignoring me totally regardless of whether I spoke English or German. After a few attempts an old gent who must have been about 80 stood up further down the boat and shouted at the top of his lungs 'Get the lad a beer you horrible little Kraut, who won the bloody war' Embarrassing but thirst quenching :P

I suspect that the headlines will be something like "Britain overwhelmingly says remain" or similar. Apart from on here, I don't actually know anyone who is voting to stay but I think that the government will spin the numbers to the way that they want the result to be. Lets face it, all the polling booths had pencils in them, not pens.

I might just be a cynic but have long held the belief that if a politicians lips are moving that lying is happening. If lips are not moving then it's lies in thought. I don't actually think that there is a straight arrow between the lot of them.

The pencil in the booth I was in had "Shaw's" printed on it, so I looked them up when I got home. They've been going since 1750, so I think we'd have noticed a problem before now.

Regarding politicians, there are some good ones about, but articles about them don't sell papers.
