I must admit, I really fancy doing that (although I doubt it saves much money over buying the wheels in my budget). EBC's online range of rims seems a bit limited, so people doing this course might need to take stuff along from elsewhere...

I did make a first attempt at truing a wheel over the weekend (the one on my old Raleigh Pioneer). Did ok, although I'm not convinced that my spoke tensions are correct.

the tutor guy wasn't impressed at my cotted cranks when I went on one.
nor my method of removing them.

Ah well, I knew most of the stuff I was doing anyway due to trying and some bad advice and figuring it out as I went.
