Bit far out to be sure. We might just be really lucky and hit the quiet spot between two wet and windy spells. On the other hand ...
Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:
Sunny spells on Thursday, but also further isolated showers. A wet and windy spell likely on Friday. Sunshine and scattered showers again on Saturday.
UK Outlook for Sunday 10 Aug 2014 to Tuesday 19 Aug 2014:
A spell of cloudy, wet and windy weather looks fairly likely to affect the UK for a time on Sunday, with current expectations that this will clear eastwards early Monday, to leave a breezy day with scattered showers. However, further rain is then likely to spread from the west later in the day to most parts except the far north. Temperatures generally near normal, but feeling rather cool in the stronger winds and heavy rain. Towards mid-week, a north/south split looks most likely to become established, with outbreaks of rain or showers and breezy conditions towards the north, the best of any drier weather in the south. Daytime temperatures probably near normal, but perhaps warm or very warm at times in the east. These conditions then look likely to persist.
