newer petrol turbo engines produce a huge amount of power.
i was amazed when I drove my wife's new Clio. It is a 0.9 litre TCe and makes 90 something bhp. The turbo kicks in at around 2.5k rpm and at low speed it's really brutal.

That'd do me nicely! The set up in our CRV is a simple platform that fits over the folded rear seats, which gives plenty of space beneath to store camp stove and all the related gubbins. Only trouble is that there's not enough height to sit up, so once we're in for the evening (Which is as soon as it goes dark for us, we're not hardy enough to sit out in the cold) we have to lay down!
The Berlingo's give you enough space to sit up, and the boot jump insert can be configured to have a little table in. OH has a bad back, so think it will be lots comfier for him in particular.

This is what we have at present:

We're looking at something like this in the Berlingo:

My g/f built her own 'jump' kit for very little, it performed great service earlier this year

My Disco 4 in sand mode and sport selected will leave most vehicles in a cloud of black stuff lol, not bad for 2.5 tonnes and 256 horses . Looking at the setup of OP Honda CRV, its amazing what you can cram into those cars, it did everything and took nearly anything. Washing machines, tumble dryers etc !

What everyone else said is correct. But it's oh so technical.

The very best thing you can do is just take the car for a test drive.

Then you'll get to know power, torque, turbo lag, wberes-the-torque-gone?-Oh-there-it-is. All you want to know is how driveable the car is and don't worry about the technical mumbo jumbo. It's a bit like saying "make sure the bike fits, then everything else is secondary".
Is the citreon box trying to be a DSG? it is so slow in changing it seems to be the opposite.
I only say that as the box is more of a conventional box, it might even be a sequential box, it's not a conventional torque box, it uses a standard manual type clutch which is either hydraulically or pneumatically operated which is why it is so slow to change.

Yes, the box is a robotised manual box. Quite decent in tiptronic mode though.

DSG is great, until you get to clutch change time and discover it has two of them, and the replacement cost could buy you a very tidy used car.

It does, although if you got a knackered knee or something and struggle with a manual, but don't fancy an automatic, then there's a small niche for them.
