Can someone please explain how a 2nd cat rider is able to ride a 4th cat race and still get points on there licence. Even the title of the race is 4th cat only.
How long since their last race?

Short answer is they can't. Current 2nd cat would (obviously) not be eligible to ride a 4th only race, and would certainly not be eligible for ranking points in that race.
If you know that this has happened, then either speak to the comm at the event, or contact your regional events commission. Realistically though, something like this should be easily picked up and dealt with at sign-on.
Which race was it - some can be 2/3/4th cat.
I was looking at what the results were on BC and noticed it so i get onto the organsier to ask who was comm and hopefully it sorts outs
They can't, without an administration error. My bet would be they've raced in a 4th and been wrongly assigned the points. Can someone please explain how a 2nd cat rider is able to ride a 4th cat race and still get points on there licence. Even the title of the race is 4th cat only.
@jamma - you forgot to mention that it was a woman who was the 2nd cat here, if I'm presuming it's this race: https://www.britishcycling.org.uk/e...cle-Repairers-&-Mulebar-Autumn-Cup--1#results
The organisers appear to have put male 4ths with female 2nd/3rd/4ths in the same race, allocating points to any 4th or above.
