Facebook - why do people swear so much on it?

You haven't come across some of the sink estate dregs I have had to deal with at work. Aggression and use of the c and f words is the default condition to cover their inability to express themselves coherently.

Just out of interest, what is your work, if you don't mind my asking, where you meet these people yet think that "dregs" is a suitable term to label them?

A lack of education and lack of opportunity for personal develop or growth does not mean they lack intelligence or deserve to be looked down upon. It means society has failed them.

They are called neds in this part of the world. They speak the language of the gutter.

Only use this forum, a football one and a horological one, so I don't read any swearing, I don't do Facebook. I don't swear at all in real life but turn into a foul mouthed, agressive ranter on the football pitch, Mrs F dumped me after her first game watching me.

I joined FB to keep in-touch with people I used to work with when the plant closed. Most people post nothing, but the amount of people I have stopped following due to posting trash like Britain First banners, is a lot. Some I expected it from, some I was quite surprised about. Somebody shared a horrific video of a young man with half of his face blown off, some Russian airstrike, ISIS whatever. It was truly disgusting, whatever happened to him. It has since been removed. I just keep un-following people.

Its refreshing to know that people can seperate football from real life, while not disliking football it can become a bit overwhelming.
