Failed chaintool.jpg

Tried this on a friends dry chain it was not easy then even tougher on one of my own, used some mole(vice) grips after the plastic winder disintegrated and got the thing installed.

Cheap but bought it as it had the opposing part to brace the plate on the far side from the winder.

Question is what type do people prefer, I had a Cyclo one for years with a winder like a mini bench vice and not some moulded piece of s**t?

Topeak. Portable and cute.

Not seen them for years. Do they work on modern chains which are a bit tighter.
My thirty yo set work on every chain I've ever aimed them at. Not tried them with 11/12 speed chains tho.

They are so fast, people are usually rather taken aback when they see them in action.

I've got a couple of Crank Bros M17 multi-tools, they have chain tools on them and have been used for splitting my chains for the past 6 years with no problems. Fit in the saddle pack nicely too.
