As a cyclist I'm used to being prepared for all weathers. (Unless it's dangerous but it's been a while since we had a hail/meteor storm) Having booked and arranged a meal out with friends they have mostly now cried off because it raining. I know it puts a dampener (terrible pun) on things but what are brollys used for? There aren't enough of us for the taxi now. It's hard enough to get everyone together what with their husbands and babies. I had a really nice outfit picked out and most importantly I've been looking forward to steak all day.

We'd booked a big mini bus so it's rather pricey for just three. Couldn't book another one in time to go out of town and the table was booked for 14. I'm really hungry but I might not be able to manage quite that many meals!

Me too, I put up with one self absorbed twat for over 20 years, before "dropping" him. He keeps wanting to "re-connect" but he is permanently disconnected! Cancelling a "do" because it's raining is pathetic, I would excommunicate them forthwith.
