This junction is on my daily commute, though I'm usually turning right towards Kingsway. As four lane junctions go it's not particularly difficult, centre pair of lanes are straight on, but divide further east, and outer pair dedicated to left/right turns. The junction 150m west with bus lane selective traffic lights is, IMHO, more dangerous and one of the few places I'm prepared to RLJ.
I came on the scene a little before the TV crew. The bike was still under the lorry. Seemed to be beneath the tractor unit rather than (as I'd expect when "hooked" on a left) the nearside of the trailer. As well as any witnesses nearby the junction is under multiple CCTV surveillance so hopefully the facts can be fully established.
