Faulty tyre.

I have All condition Armadillo tyres on both my bikes as they are very good against punctures. Last Sunday I was giving my Allez a good clean on my new Aldi stand, when I noticed something was wrong on my rear tyre: some of the top of the tyre was peeling off, about 3 inches of it. The tyre had only done 1000 miles since new so I took it back to my LBS, where I got it from. They agreed it was faulty and replaced it with a brand new one. Happy Bunny.

It's a well known fault with the Armadillo's.
Depend's which batch the tyre comes from. Some batches are fine, others you get the delamination.

Yeah, just have a check.
I run them on my commuter and have got in the habit of checking every day. Mainly for any crap sticking to the tyre that may cause a puncture.
