Dry roast peanuts - esp the dusty bits at the bottom of the bag. Pure MSG, I suspect.

I can't believe I've forgotten pickled onions. In malt vinegar so strong it takes the enamel off your teeth.

I also like Spicy Tomato Wheat Crunchies (other flavours welcome) whilst on bike rides as they are easy to eat on the move. When I was a kid I used to think Wheat Crunchies were 'special' as I only ever saw them in the chemists!

Plate of sausage and chips for me, or a black pudding sandwich, or fried egg on fried bread. Anything less isn't worth opening your mouth for.

Out here in Tokyo, definitely the smoked almonds from Lawson's (convenience store) along with their sushi roll (some weird pink fish egg gunk and mustard, surrounded by rice, all in a layer of nori seaweed). Seriously, a strangely perfect snack.

When I was a kid, I was definitely a wheat crunchies fan - there's something about the texture.
