I'm the same with the music from M.A.S.H and many a time I've wandered along a deserted beach singing the song to myself. I loved the tv series and should I ever end up on a desert island and only be allowed one tv series to take with me, it would be M.A.S.H.

Just to add, I'm still a fair way off from pension age!

I once had the misfortune of happening across an exhibition with some of the tunes that they play in Orange Marches. One just cracked me up because it was BLATANTLY the Z Cars tune!!
Every time I hear that tune now, all I think of are a load of bigots twats all dressed up like the soldiers from the Mcleans Toothpaste ads marching along playing flutes - not a terribly great image. QUOTE]

I think the z-cars theme is a traditional protestant march

I don't know whether the OP is still around, but this - appropriately - this was always one of my favourites.


I'm disappointed to discover now that it's the hackneyed first few notes of the 5th symphony followed by the uninteresting bit of the 1st symphony, ignoring the opening scales.
