Finally Conquered My Nemesis !

  1. after 8 months of trying without any luck I have finally conquered my nemesis in climbing,

there is a hill in the Surrey lanes called Crocknorth Hill, which some of you will know is a f****r ,14% gradient ,its just under a mile long, from the bottom its straight into it,with no give, its relentless and its only till you get to the bridge that it starts to level out ,but it continues for a few hundred yards more.
Everytime i've started to climb it,within a minute i am off the bike and start pushing, but not the other day, with a great big swig of energy drink, straight into the lowest gear and then i was away, after much snorting, sweating, huffing and puffing imade it past the fences on the right, under the bridge and thought Fooking hell i've made it !!!!

I suppose it helps being less heavy and inserting a triple on my roubaix.....

    Now to conquer the Tourmalet:ohmy:

Well done mate. I googled Crocknorth Hill and came across your blog on the Kingston Wheelers site. You're clearly very determined so the sky is indeed the limit!
