Yeah, I can imagine what sort of driver you are, I've noticed your inability to be corrected in the past.

You're supposed to check your mirror every 6 to 10 seconds in any circumstances; so I guess by your definition driving in a straight line on an empty road is hazardous?

So why do you check your mirror before a manoeuvre when you've already done so. Isn't taking your eyes of the road dangerous?

You clearly have a comprehension impairment then, as you haven't understood what I posted.
Thank you for your thoughtful and measured contribution to the discussion. I appreciate the effort you have spent in composing your response.

Kind regards.

As much as l like being tazered and dragged onto the hard shoulder for a solid beating I refuse to be entrapped into speeding by overtaking a police car that's doing 69.9mph. I'll sit in the middle lane all day pal while you play your games. Okay so you're just a motorway maintenance van made to look like police, well bravo to you.

They're just hi-viz pretend stasi, they can't do feck all, go past them at 72mph and then floor it. And if you're down Somerset way and you see a nobber on a step-thru flick him the V's would you.

Really, then that is an omission that should be corrected. If the driver behind you does not know what you are doing until you do it, then you are raising the level of risk.

How so?

If you're overtaking someone, then by definition you are travelling faster than the other guy. So returning to your original lane at a safe distance as you pull away from them does not constitute any risk whatsoever to the overtaken driver, whether or not you indicate.

If you fail to move over, back into the Society, Culture and Crap forum...yes.

We had an interesting one earlier this year.

There was a "SatNav" warning of a car on the inside lane so we pulled into the middle lane and stayed clear.

Muppet (I now know it was a "barrel roll") pulled across in front of us, saw the car on the inside lane, had to slam on his anchors, nearly taking out both the car on the inside lane and us!

Brought the entire motorway to a stop and nearly caused a pileup

Brilliant piece of driving
