I was in Batley this morning, as our (tried & trusted) servicing garage is on the hill above the town
Whilst they were giving daughters car a once-over, for the MoT test, I had a walk into Batley, primarily to photograph some of the wonderful buildings that still exist there

I also called at the Station, & next door to it (in the old goods yards) is; https://www.angloco.co.uk/

There was a plethora of 'Trumpton Trucks', from Brigades all over the country


This was nice

First one in your pictures must be military, isn't that reg plate format just used for the armed forces fleet?

One of the garages, on the outskirts of Dewsbury, until recently had one as a recovery truck
I drove past today, & I know it's been off the forecourt for quite a while, but it may still be at the rear, 'sheeted over'?
(A653, from jct 28/M62 to Dewsbury)
A 981(?) as it has the bumper cut-out for the winch cable

The two things I like about that picture;
1, the wheels.
2, the exhaust.

Both look solid, purposeful and have undertones of being 'considerably harder than you'!

It was over 40 yrs ago but it looks like a diamond t but it was a long time ago
