firefox blocking images and videos

On pages that have images or videos firefox has started blocking them , im stumped as it works fine in IE.

Most videos should be HTML5 by now so it's probably not flash.

Any pattern to what pages fail? Any examples?

I downloaded an 'ad blocker' to do that. For me just clicking on the 'ABP' button at the top right of my screen allows me to bypass it.

Edit: from your screen shot you've got ABP.

Consider yourself lucky. I got an ad for revlon

Edit: ads on both Safari and FF on mac, started up straight away on Chrome. Even then, I lasted about 6 seconds before closing the window. FF is trying to save you.

Try disabling hardware acceleration in Firefox settings

It doesn't really help you but that opens up ok in my Firefox browser at work it wouldn't on IE, their security settings block HTML.

It's just a youtube clip. Is that the only one you are having problems with?

links on CC are not working but i run in safe mode everything is fine.

Did a refresh on FF and reinstalled my add ons , very odd but its working again .
