Fireman's Bike

Apparently, fireman in the early 1900s had to carry their own fire hoses on their bikes.

And if you don't have a hose, you could just have a huge roll of inner tubes in the middle there instead! 😆

The posh version with white walled tires. Probably the fire captain's bike.

Then after you've spent all your energy fighting the fire, you have to get down on your hands and knees, drain the hose, coil it up, tightly, and store it back in the bike frame holder.
