First 50 Miler

Well done Hip Priest! I've had three rides over 40 miles so far, but can't see me managing 50 any time soon. Any tips?

It's all about fuelling and pacing yourself. Gels are great if you don't sweat much, but do remember to drink as well before you're thirsty.

I was in the pub by the time the rains came! Post ride carb replacement or something. The pros swear by it.

i did a 55 last year and it was muchos fun! working up to it this year again after being long term sick.
its fantastic when you hit PB's!

I hope I get to 50 soon, 39 is my best so far this year, 25 last year, 80 about a dozen years ago then 10 years off the bike with ill health.

Hope we get cycling weather me old dear reckons we've got floods on the way!
