I did miss SITD 2011 with what I thought at the time was a chest infection, but now suspect might have been an earlier clotting problem. (I had the same kind of disabling 'snotless cold' several times before the big one finally got me.)

My first audax was Clarten owwer Caldbeck (which included Hartside from the East into the wind and then the north of the Lakes). I finished a full 1 hour and 42 mins late.

Thankfully there was a local heritage meeting on that night - and they took pity on me and fed me a pie & pea supper

That must be a record for the longest over value audax that still got fed. I am suitably impressed.
