Did a 70 mile ride yesterday, taking advantage of the sun coming out to play.
About half way round my route I grabbed my drink and just happened to glance over to where my pump was........or should have been !
Oh s**t, this would be just my luck. Out in the middle of nowhere. Not the place to get a puncture !
I couldn't remember why I had even taken it off the bike, then I remembered....The night before my daughter was using it as a weapon as she repeatedly battered me round the head with it. And then my wife found it most amusing that this little thing extended in and out, and proceeded to play with it at the dinner table.....wtf. ....
Anyway I soon realised that I had forgot to snatch it back from them and put it back where it's supposed to go.
I found the last 20 miles of the ride extremely difficult (more than usual). I remembered having to weave in and out of some hedge cuttings that had recently been cut off, must have had a slow puncture from then on as it is dead flat this morning.
My first fairy visit.....just glad I made it home without having to do a tube change at the side of the road

Kids aye! What are they like?
I bet there were a few choice words said throughout your ride to yourself :-) was the air turning blue around you by any chance? Haha.

A few choice words indeed !
Tell myself off for 10mins or so, then forget about it for half hour only to realise it again .......damn it !
I'm sure I'm going to have to do a roadside job at some point anyway

If you're like me it will be on a cold wet day. Great fun struggling with a wet, slippy, cold tyre with fingers rapidly going numb! Still slightly preferable to my 10 mile walk last weekend with a broken chain.
