So, get your arse into gear and get that new Giant you was always talking about.

hopefully got some winter work coming up so that will be about £4-500 and i am selling a sailing dingy for hopefully £400 or so soon and i have a wood lathe and chisels to sell for i'm not really sure how much so hopefully it is somewhere on the horizon!

thing is do i go for a
defy 3 with ally frame, carbon forks, sora gorupset £700
a cheap carbon such as
mekk 2g poggio: carbon frame, carbon forks, sora groupset, £600

i am starting to wonder if giant is charging a bit over the odds considering what i can get for a similar price from a different make

You can get a new Cannondale CAAD 8 Tiagra bike for under £700 if you shop around - example.

My Cannondale is 'only' a CAAD 5 and it is great, so a CAAD 8 should be lovely!

That Mekk looks nice for the price.

As for Vitus, a good friend of mine rides one and loves it.
And iirc @T.M.H.N.E.T rides Vitus
