On the way home last night in some slow moving traffic.
was approaching the rear of a line of cars which had just started to move again.
Decide to ace like a boss and try to slow/balance the bike rather then stop.
As the front of the line of cars moves off i start to pedal again, however the car at the back didn't move off as quickly as the others and Muppet here had to come to a dead stop pretty quickly.
i took my left foot out the strap as that they way i always lean when stopping but the bike had other ideas and before i could get my right foot out of the strap and on the floor i was horizontal.
Only a very minor graze to the knee but my pride well that will take ages to fully mend.

its not as if i could just pretend it didn't happen as it was witnessed at close range by two proper cyclist at point blank range. One of them couldn't even bring themselves to look me in the eye as they went past trying to muffle the howls of laughter. The other sort of sheepishly half looked but i could tell he was smiling inside.

and then this morning was just as bad.
turning left out of Longley road onto the A24 (its a cycle super highway).
get to the top of the small hill and there is an ambulance heading towards me on my side of the road. Not a problem im in the cycle lane, bags of road left for the ambulance.
then from no where comes this twat in one of them Porsche/4x4 thingies.
he seems me, see the ambulance and then for some reason does the "must get ahead of the bike" thing. by the time he gets level with me the ambulance is almost on tip of him with all blues and twos going it. So with less than a meter between me and him and yanks a fast left into the cycle lane forcing me to both brake heavily and hop the front wheel on the pavement.
I'm not very happy at all.... the ambulance bloke is well unimpressed his passage has been impeded. the bloke in the porsche is just looking a useless smug twat.

i do no more than bang on his window and give him the finger and then pass both him and the ambulance. couple of meters down the road he pulls up next to me and mutters something about "touch my car again you c**t and i will blah blah blah blah"
im already half off the bike and gesturing to the bloke that i'm more than willing to discuss it should he want to get out the car. He didn't like the idea of that and sped off down the road.

i do hope i don't see his rather distinctive car with very personal reg again.
the sudden flash back might cause me to loose balance and drag my pedal along his nice paint work.

mad 24 hours.

I have several times in a moment of madness done the same, i am normally mild mannered but hate attempted bullying by clowns in big/fast cars, luckily each time it has happened the big tough bully has shrunk into a small dot and scurried off, you hear stories of things going badly wrong in these situations, so due to now having a wife and little kid i now just totally ignore them, it drives em mad when they dont get a reaction , wish i learned to do it years ago.

Report it. Naturally you fended off a vehicle driven dangerously close by making the driver aware of your presence.
