Knocked unconscious almost straight away (managed to give a witness contact details and that's it), woke up in hospital a few hours later. No recollection of any of the events or where it was and sort of hurt everywhere, full body x-ray and ct-scan (vague memory of this, very strange device!) apparently, but as far as I know it's only cuts and bruises - (road rash? OOOOOOOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!). I'm gonna keep tabs on any new pains etc.

My first memory is the obligatory 'how's the bike' to the orderly.

Apparently I was hit and the driver drove off , somewhere between Soho and East Finchley, I'm sure I'll remember these things in time.

Very very wierd feeling.

Ouch! Sorry to hear that, sounds like a bad one. Hope you recover soon.

I know it happens but I still can't believe some c u next Tuesdays drive off after hitting and injuring someone. Hope the witness got the car reg and the police catch up with the driver.

shocking the driver effed off, hope someone got his details.

and is the bike ok?

Who gives a FOOK about the bike? I just hope you heal well and quickly Joe and the scumbag that drove off (leaving you for dead as far as he knew) gets what he deserves. Probably some tw*t that has no insurance/licence/visa or maybe a drunk driver who cares more about not being breathalised than the fact they may have crippled or killed someone.

Get well soon, as others have said.

Hopefully the driver can be tracked down - has a report been made to the police?

If not, you can, I think, put a claim through the MIB - make sure you keep receipts &c for out of pocket expenses, bike repairs and so forth, and a diary of how the pain is, and any restrictions on movement &c. Photograph the injuries too.

A colleague here was in a similar hit & run a few years back - does make you despair somewhat about your fellow humans.

Nasty. Puts my stumble in persepective. Hope it does indeed turn out just to be cuts and bruises and they catch whoever was responsible! Let us know how it develops.
