Aha, the track at the old Empire Pool was 51 degrees. That is actually the one that ended up at Calshot. Good clip of an old Skol Six here, but I think the narrator was using a bit of artistic licence in claiming the riders got up to 60mph.

Interesting, I didn't realise that was the origin Calshot. I suspect the commentator is getting 60mph confused with 60kmh. It's also interesting looking at that, to see just how little track racing has changed (which is a good thing, IMO)
