Sounds like you had a brill time, well done. Ive got all the bike kit but not done a tour yet. By the way padded shorts are def the way to go, however they do hold more water!

I know to most of you, this will seem like a very small trip without many miles

Any outing where you and your kit get dumped in the water is a proper tour.

It's not the miles you do, it's the things that happen that make a tour/ride.

Yesterday I went shopping on my bike for my dad. I bought an apple pie, walked out of the shop crossed the road, and the bleedin wind blew it out of my hands. The woman thought she had deja vu when I went back in to buy another.
