Oh and you do know that vegetarians are allowed to eat fish, don't you?
You're obviously not a real proper paid up member then
The Vegetarian Society defines a vegetarian as follows:
"A vegetarian is someone who lives on a diet of grains, pulses, legumes, nuts, seeds, vegetables, fruits, fungi, algae, yeast and/or some other non-animal-based foods (e.g. salt) with, or without, dairy products, honey and/or eggs. A vegetarian does not eat foods that consist of, or have been produced with the aid of products consisting of or created from, any part of the body of a living or dead animal. This includes meat, poultry, fish, shellfish*, insects, by-products of slaughter** or any food made with processing aids created from these."

My version of vegetarianism allows for non cruelty killed meats. I'm supposing that fish aren't made to suffer, like animals are in a slaughterhouse. On a bit of a side note,i've just done something that i might regret. I read a link to a tabloid report of dogs, cats, snakes and bats being slaughtered in vile conditions,in Indonesia. These links pop up without warning. They hit you with "Warning. This report shows scenes of animal cruelty",or something similar to that. 99 out of a 100 times i can resist the temptation to look, but this time something inside me made me look. I saw totally evil people doing despicable things to animals, many of which were/are stolen pets. This is why i believe in a god and an afterlife. Probably in hope rather than expectation. I hope they meet the same fate on judgement day.

Swordfish .......... was ok but expensive and i could have had a nice rump streak for alot less . Not that price is my point here but the trout , mackerel and sea bass where all amazing new tastes to me . I was expecting swordfish to trump those but it didn't and i wasn't even allowed to have the head on this one ^_^

The commercial harvesting of fish involves their flapping around out of water until they die Accy. It's far from cruelty-free.

I’m a big seafood fan and like to try the local fish on my travels.

Some of the South-East Asian fish, although unpronounceable in local names, proved to be tasty and cheap.

After the wedding in the Florida Keys we were given a meal with Mahi Mahi being the main course. Not a particularly memorable taste but its cmmon name of Dolphin Fish stayed with me.

I went for red snapper last week as they had no mullet and said snapper would cook the same ish .
When i started i thought fish was rather cheap but every week the price keeps going up . Not a problem but i'm not fine dining here and meat to roast last me 3 days rather than one meal .
I mentioned this today and will soon be tucking into whiting .

It was nice but could have done with something to make it nicer . I'm actually finding that with all the fish .
Thats probably why i didnt eat fish in the first plaice ( :okay: )
I enjoyed the trout as it was but think i need to hone the cooking skill for fish .
