Fitting a Contour Vented Helmet Mount... Help!

I've got it pretty solid with the straps at the moment, I'll have to do a few test runs with the camera once it arrives and see if I need more to hold it on. This is killing me, waiting for a new gadget

Gaz - how do you stop the camera rattling? I have it tied with the two straps in the vents, like you, but it rattles when I hit bumps.

On the middle setting the mount is quite rattly, just position it to use the back or forward positions and avoid using the middle one.

I had my mount come through the post today from amazon - first thing I did was slide it onto my contour roam, and now I can't get it back off! Is it meant to be stupidly difficult to get the camera off it or am I missing something?

And a +1 for the position debate - top or side?

Th more you use it the easy it gets but the first few times can be a real bugger.

It is difficult at first but it soons wear down and becomes easy.

The OH just managed to get it off for me, after I'd weakened and loosened it, of course...

I have got mine second hand, and I still find it is stiff (good to know it wont fall out then).

PS How to you tilt it? I cannot fathem out how to do it.

Side for me too. I just think that looks nicer (i.e. less stupid) for some reason. Not completely on the side either, otherwise the weight makes the helmet lopsided. Can you show a picture of your mount? I'll try to show one for me too later.

Looking at mine I have the black clips further down the side due to the positioning of the vents.
