Definitely not flapjacks in my cook book. Must be some sort of hybrid. Flapjacks should be all oats.

Also you should be able to ride 30 miles on your usual diet without eating massive extra amounts of food including cakes. For if you are over weight you want to lose that weight not maintain or put extra weight on.

I follow a low carb diet and lost 3 and a half stone, which I’m maintaining nicely, helped by my new love of cycling. I’ve only been riding a few weeks and am trying to follow a training plan. Plus I usually fast before a ride, so a banana and a flapjack on the longer rides is a welcome boost.
