Get well soon Tim - need to see that pump in operation!
Luckily it's just a generic grotty lurgy. I'm not far off being able to cycle, and in fact reckon I'll be back on my commute come Monday.
If you'd been on the WARTY on Saturday, you would have seen my shiny pump in action, getting Auntie Helen's & Uncle James wheels back up to pressure.

I'm sniffly.... but determined.
Go for it.
If it was a couple of days later, I'd do the FNRttC. On reflection I was starting to come down with this lurgy on Saturday when I did 70 miles with no great problems.
A FNRttC comes under the heading of a fairly easy ride, so long as you aren't TECing or being a signpost, you can bimble along at a moderate rate and put no great strain or demands on your body.
(Which is not saying that being a TEC or signpost is necessarily a great effort, but occasionally it's useful if the TECs can can floor it a bit to catch up with the peloton when there's been a long fairy visitation inspired delay, and the signposts can spend the entire ride sprinting back to the head of the ride, should they be so inclined!)
