the Cat's whiskers, or Whiskas?

apparently the 'convective weather' that dumped an inch of rain on my little bit of South London in less than an hour last night will clear. Apparently. The cat is under the duvet with his paws over his ears.

I was going to ask for a feline view on the weather - in the light of this I think the mudguards might be back on and the rain top unpacked.

Ulp.
May be a bit of a damp one, then.
I'll see you all at midnight.

I've just received the top secret EA weather data from our man on the inside. Apparently it will be dry.

Big downpour up here in Hull a couple of hours ago, still grey and threatening, This has led to my dillema:-

Mudguards.........

Option 1. Rickity old ones with assorted rounded off imperial nuts and bolts fastening (hopefully) to the bike

Option 2. New fandangled sporty clip on types that un-clip on Reigate and tangle in the spokes

It's a tough choice................................

... but I have this afternoon off, and will be hitting sack at about 3, hoping to sleep til 9ish, we'll see. ...

You should try my approach, I've taken the day off, and I haven't actually got up properly yet.

(Obviously I had to get up and feed the cat, we need independent advice on the weather, and clearly Felinus Leggus can't be trusted today!)

Don't worry Davy about the cake I may not have time today to bake

Tim, you're a lucky man, I'm off to make a huge lunch in a minute, then bed beckons

GrumpyGregry

Here for rides.
12 miles north of Brighton it hasn't rained for hours, the sun is shining through scudding white clouds there's a nice breeze and it is a grade a 'lovely afternoon'

We are all going outside for the 'works' summer party. Which we've paid and catered for ourselves.

I met, in the course of my work, a bloke from the EA on Wednesday. I'd met him before, about 3 years ago and knew he was into cycling a bit, but was recovering from a climbing induced injury. "What you need" I told him, "Is the FNRttC". We exchanged business cards and I promised to email him the low down for future rides.

Sig, after all that, am at home today ! I'll see you by the escalators at Liverpool Street where we met last time at 10.25/10.30 ish? Don't want to go too near work..............;)

Am just finishing off a carb loading meal (sticky bun) and am going to hit the sack like MacB. Not with MacB obviously. Have asked junior KH's to jump on me around 8.00 pm.
