I impressed with the cyrillic script (although it doesn't appear in a quote) - so the mysterious Pavel will ride amongst us again...
I recall Andrij sending me a slice of Streetmap for Stratford, East London, on which all the writing was Cyrillic...

Didn't he sit on top of a pole for a long time?

(later edit) not Andrij, Cyril. Andrij does audaxes.........

Lorra lorra people...
...is Bognor ready for all this? I know Reg is...but bugger, Bognor'd better be!

Most of my software is set with a Ukrainian interface. I love watching non-Cyrillic readers trying to use my laptop.

You're thinking St Simeon the Stylite. St Cyril (and brother St Methodius) were bishop and monk (don't recall which was wich).

(later edit) not Andrij, Cyril. Andrij does audaxes.........

Some would question which lead the more comfortable lifestyle...

Gah! Please take me off the list Mr L. Just realised that I'm going to be in Bristol (unless I can swing meeting Mr R in Bristol on the Saturday.... *wanders off to look at trains from Bognor to Bristol*)

If only you had some other way to get from Bognor to Bristol, perhaps something like a bicycle... It's only another 110 miles.

with any luck a taxi will pass by just as we start the ascent from North Stoke.

8.39 arrives Temple Meads at 11.47, change at Barnam and Cosham. Bail-out option at Barnham departs 8.57
