Presumably you've still to receive your traditional mysterious phone call:

"Click. Brrr"
"The swallows fly at midnight"

Moscow rules dear boy, Moscow rules.

Last time I was the very last one down, and somehow I'd done 42 mph, yet I was certain I'd been braking more than usual. Of course it does help if there aren't any Royal mail trucks around.

Oh ohhhh... I think my nuttyness in speeding downhill has stired up the boy hood speed freaks in us! I am sorry!

Just had a letter from the NHS as they want a pint of my blood on the 8th, so I think I might not be a full capacity in the downhill pursuit challenges...

I hope you pointed out that it is doner card not a donor card in your wallet.

 I'm sorry I've been reading too many of Aperitif's posts

On a more serious note, I moment of silence is needed for the passing of Mahmut Aygun

You need to email Simon at fnrttc@yahoo.co.uk giving your mobile number and CTC number (if you have one). Bear in mind, as he's noted, you might get put on a waiting list due to the number already in...

Sol gets in by virtue of having the most impeccable reference....(excuse the inconsistency, but I know that Dan has been drumming up interest from the speedskaters for months. I just hope that they don't all travel along in a string with one hand behind their backs....)

........and now I do have a holding pattern over Hyde Park Corner

Metcheck showing headwinds, but no rain for the second half of next week, and most of the weekend...

that's a tricky one. The cat is difficult to read at the moment. He's refusing Science Diet, and IAMS, but showing some interest in Aldi's Cheapest. I will be steaming coley fillets for the little horror, but I'm not going to start yet awhile - I don't want him getting all blase on me. Anyway - there a 965mm sulk following him around, and he was sick on the carpet last night. So I'm not sure it's wise to ask.....

it means I've goofed. I discussed numbers with Tony and others, and put a figure of 90 on it. This was bravado on my part. I thought that we would struggle to get 90. I sent out the mailing (which now goes to 937 addresses) at the end of last week (having not troubled to do so last month, or the month before, because we were full up) and the registrations have been pouring in. The mailing went out with a pdf which was kind of nice...but it might have been too nice.

Turning people away isn't great. And, given that it's been rising by about ten a day, there could be a lot more. I'll make room for old-timers, but there are going to be people who are disappointed, and may not be back again.

is catering the limiting factor? or is it a duty of care / insurance thing? I cannot offer to overcome anything, it is just that I have a strange obsession with life's limiting factors....

catering is one limiting factor. The other is our experience. We've done 69 (alright you boys at the back of the class, settle down). 95 is a big step up.
