I will find out. If you're sending someone round to break their fingers, you didn't hear it from me, right?

TarteTatin said:Dear lovely cycle chatters!
Thank you all for your best wishes and encouraging messages. I'm feeling already better than yesterday and hope to be back on a bike asap. The police informed me that the driver will be taken to court, so I'm hoping to get some compensation from his insurance to get a new bike, or a least get the old one fixed. Simon is very kindly going to pick up my bike from the hospital later on today, so I can assess the damage done. He's also offered one of his bikes for me to use in the meantime, as soon as I'm back in shape. After the horrible event yesterday and the rough treatment I received in Mayday Hospital A&E, it's nice to receive the kind wishes and help from fellow cyclists! Thanks to all of you.

sounds like a nice place....AdrianC said:I think you have to be run over by a steamroller, from the feet up, before a road incident beats a day in Mayday.
