Folding bicycle lock, i.e. a lock that folds, not a lock for a Brompton?

Someone said to me that a "folding bike lock" was the best and most secure lock, so I looked them up on Amazon.

These are a couple of examples

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Folding-Sp...97036946&sr=8-2&keywords=folding+bicycle+lock

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Inbike-Por...97036946&sr=8-4&keywords=folding+bicycle+lock

Has anyone used them? Many claim to be made of high quality, cut resistant, saw resistant material, and seem to be small and foldy enough to be easily carried around, even if you don't want to carry it attached to your bike frame.

If you are going for that type, it's a secondary lock. I have 3 ABUS Bordo folding locks, and they are the ones to get. They are good for securing a wheel, but not a bike. An ABUS or New York D-lock is the best.

A few folk at work bought the Aldi version of the Bordo, but they all used them for the front wheel. Quite secure and might just throw the usual thief as they are unusual.

It is not a primary lock.

The weak point wit. this design is the "rivet" that holds the plates together

The Abus ones have a rounded rivet that in theory prevents drilling out

A flat or as in the case of those Amazon ones an indent that would help by seating the drill bit would be a liability at this already weak point
