https://www.decathlon.co.uk/p/20-inch-folding-bike-btwin-500/_/R-p-120070 I don't know much about these, but having one one could be very useful for me to use from time to time and to be able to put it in the boot.
I see a fair few of them being ridden around and they look fine. Decent price, and Decathlon have a good rep for good value bikes.
Of course, as I am a Brompton owner, I sneer at them when I see them![]()
I am also thinking about one of these for my recovery ride
Be fine if you don’t encounter any significance hills. Going to be quite heavy. Won’t be easy to move around folded. Integrated lights are a plus. Lifetime frame warranty as said, I think they may also 1 year on components too. Service from Decathlon is reputedly good.
Halfords also do a budget folder for cheaper but not so many features and hit and miss service.
You might also try looking on GumtreeUK for used. Many buy these on a whim and hardly use them so bargains to be had.
ThanksI shouldn't encounter too many hills for what I want it for. I wouldn't really be carrying it around just riding and putting it in car boot.
Its a great bargain for an occasional bike.
Lifetime frame warranty too.
If your budget will stretch to it, just buy a used Brompton. The superior fold and residual value will more than make up for the initial outlay.
