I should be a right FB then, as I rarely eat my main meal before about 8pm.. Sometimes it's because of work, other times by choice. Given that it is now after 5pm and the chicken I am intending to roast is still sitting in the fridge, it looks like it will be nearer 8pm again. Too many disciplined and organised people on here!
I would be keeling over with hunger by 8pm! Lol. Suppose it's mostly habit but I like my tea between 5 and 6.

I don't often eat before 8, don't get home until after 7 usually, then may eat before or after the gym of I go. I expect most London commuters at least are similar

I eat usually around 18:30 if I don't do an evening ride, or about 20:00 if I do. I've lost around 4.5 stone this year, so it can't be that bad for me!

If I cycle on a night (around 13-20 miles in this weather) I try to eat 2500 calories in total and if I don't cycle 2000. However, I don't exactly calorie count I just roughly know.

Porridge , coffee and half a litre of water before a ride , then nibble on Oat bars on the ride .If longer than forty maybe a coffee and fluid stop ,and a pee!

With the miles you do I'm guessing you eat a pretty large carb heavy meal the night before, thereyby increasing your glycogen stores for the morning ride.

Sorry, but the 'eating after 6pm' thing has been debunked.

I can add personal experience to this. I get home at 12am working evening shift, eat a 5-800 calorie meal and sleep at 2am. My weight hasn't budged from 10st for the past two months despite being on a 3,000 calorie diet.
