Football World Cup - Russia 2018

I can’t believe this.

Based on previous World Cup experiences, before the tournament started I put £10 each on Germany (5-1) and Argentina (outside bet at 10-1) so that I’d have some interest going past the first group stage when Engerland typically get knocked out.

Now I have to rely on England.

I only ever bet about once every 5 years - In 2016 I wanted Hamilton to win the F1 title, but had a sneaky feeling he wouldn't. So I put (I think) a fiver on Rosberg and managed to win about £50 as a consolation when Rosberg did indeed win it!

The last time I placed a bet on anything was in 1994 when we didn’t qualify for the USA WC. I put £10 on Italy at
6-1 before the tournament started and they lost on penalties in the final!

That was money well spent as it kept my interest levels high right until the end.

There's bound to be some drama. Like a lot of players, many of the Spanish graduated RADA with distinction in acting
