Off the top of my head, didn't France knock out Spain a couple of tournaments ago? CBA to check.

ETA: Oh yeah, and come to think of it, didn't Portugal and Spain play each other in the group stages this time? Sheesh, the Beeb have got an even worse memory than me... ^_^

Italy played France in the 2006 final too.
