Croatians are absolutely obsessed about football, particularly in Split. Wish I was going with him (although he is damn glad I'm not)

It will be interesting to see how the team is supported. Apparently Modric is not popular with a lot of fans at present due to his alleged involvement with an agent embezzlement case. He's facing a perjury trial and could even be imprisoned if found guilty.

The Argies won't be out but they will be on the brink if it comes down to goal average and Croatia field a reserve side for the last match.

Iceland beat Nigeria and Argentina aren't out but they're teetering on the brink
Iceland draw with Nigeria and Argentina still have a reasonable chance of progressing (in this instance, in final games Argentina would need to beat Nigeria and hope Iceland don't beat Croatia)
