Waaay back im sure there was a jimbolee. He seemed knowledgeable but often took things a little too serious. Such as beginners asking advice and being told to get a 2000 pound bike and ride at least 100 miles a week.

More recently... i havent seen anything from @mrheamatocrit recently. Last seen strangling a SRAM break technician.

I seem to recall he got the boot for threatening to go round and punch someone's lights out. Shame he took things a bit far as he always had a straightforward and simple solution to any query, if you consider a spreadsheet and a 2000 word essay straightforward and simple.

I think he also photo shopped a new cycle chat banner, replacing the "fun and friendly" bit with something less pleasant!

Jimbolee was great. A huge knowledge that he'd willingly share, any seemingly unusual advice was invariably backed up with science and numbers... if you could follow it! The sort of person that's invaluable on any forum offering advice.

I was never that convinced by jimbolee's mad science - the laws of physics often got the afternoon off if they disagreed with his opinion. Some of the trouble was that he may have got away with bamboozling people in real life, but there's nearly always someone on a forum that really does know more than you. He was a long way from being the smartest person in the room but I don't think that sat well with his self image, hence the almost terminal touchiness if someone called him out.

I haven't seen BOAB around so much since his Cypriut cycling adventure.

He has taken some poo flinging, some 'get him' some don't.

I read all of his Cyprus blogs & find him entertaining/interesting.

Hope he comes back to the fold, although he hasn't been gone long.

I can't see on my phone, when someone last visited, can anyone help with that, advise how it's done ?
