Cycliq, Rear facing, built in lights. I would like to get it back to its rightful owner but how? Police have no reports of one lost.

Is there a card in it with footage? It may show start/end points of a local journey.

Most people seem to post these things on social media.

I'd stick a notice on a nearby lamppost in the assumption that someone will be looking for it along their route.

Put a notice up, either physically or in a local online group, saying that you have found a bike light and give a rough location and time as well as a means to contact you. A ‘burner’ email address would work.

Don’t mention the camera or brand and possibly even the fact that it is a rear light. The rightful owner would know that when asked to provide it.

All I can see is green hedges and an empty road followed by bouncing into the weeds.

Is that the only file on the card? If so, it would indicate it had only just been switched on so might be near the owner’s start point (home?). Is it time stamped?

Reunited!! :smile:Via the method of a poster on a tree. Turns out the owner only goes that way once a week, got home and missed it, she didn’t think it would be found, so gave up on it. Week later saw my poster about “expensive light found” and realised what I meant by expensive.
Well done! I didn't think that you would find the owner.

I once managed to reunite a jacket with its owner.
