Oh, my scars have healed up quite well now, booo. PS I'd crack the camera anyway !

Anyway, I'm as ard as nails me, not fragile. Hitting that car didn't hurt much, it was the 9 stone surgeon that was the gorilla.

Got a big cycling scar from when I had a crash as a kiddie.

But I'm not near London ...

Maybe Londoners don't want to get their kit off, whilst us midlanders/northerners don't care?

Pitty you are not looking for people in the north east, I'm sporting a matching pair of bruised forearms, badly skinned right knee and a skinned shoulder where I did a forward roll with my bike in triathlon last weekend. (Why do people run in front of you when you come in to transition?)

We are Fragile

True ...... but there's so much more. Much, much, much more.

Vitality, confidence, knowing your way around, exuberance, fitness, challenge, feeling the real world, the joy of two-fingered irreverence to fat-a***d a***h*les in "fancy" cars - and above all, the sheer simple pleasure of oxygen-charged blood coursing through my veins. Aye, and a lot of the scars and bruises we've picked up along the way - we bounce (even at my age!).

Please - don't reduce cycling to fragility alone.
