I have been given an unidentifiable frame. I do have a frame number though can I identify it from this? If so how?

Near impossible i should think, mainly because no-one really ever wants to know.
Raleighs however, because they've been going so long and made some good frames, seem to have a following, and therefor interest in their history.
This link may help...i have seen other websites with historical data.

What you need to be concerned about is 1/ The distance from the BB centre to the top surface of the toptube, 2/ it's weight and 3/ if it's bent.

Ok. Well the frame isn't for me, it's just a project but I will post some pictures up to see if anyone can recognise what it is. Thanks.
