frame size calculation!!!?

Last year when I was looking to buy a road bike someone had posted a calculation that you could work out an approx frame size this was spot on for mine! however I can't find the calculation as I can fine the thread can any one help?

Husbands looking to come over to the dark side too

Cheers peterd, if I'm reading it right my oh is 5' 11" so anything within the range of 56 - 59 frame size should be suitable?

He's looking to buy 2nd hand although if I had my way he'd be in that LBS tomorrow and they say woman are hard to understand!

Glad it was helpful. Best bet is go to good LBS and get a bike fit from them as well.

Once you get the frame size that you can sit on reach is just as important based on the length of the top tube.

Finally pursuaded the old boy to buy one new he missed out on a few from evilbay last night so hey ho off to the LBS we go
