A friend of mine is interested in this Kettler German bike but unsure where to measure the frame size. Not sure if it's different in Germany, anyone put us right?

The 'norm' is centre of the bottom bracket to the centre of the seat tube, but some companies go to the top of the seat tube. Why not send them an email and ask...

Unless the seat tube extends significantly above the top tube junction (it doesn't look like it in the pics), then the answer is that it doesn't really matter either way, as the seatpost is adjustable anyway. A more useful guide is normally top tube (TT) length and/or headtube (HT) length. TT is usually measured centre-to-centre and the HT is usually measured end to end.

The only English language web site I can find does not list bikes only non related goods. I have found a PDF file on the bikes which is where the picture came from, but there is no path to the bike manufacturer.

Sellers father reckons it's a 51cm frame so may go to see this w/end.
