Exactly, but with him being 200 feet up the side of a chimney without any sort of backup protection, then, well, it wouldn't have been pretty and also, just as importantly on his part, all it would have taken was some little slip, a tiny mistake, a stumble..... 200 feet to 0 in a few seconds, or having a sodding great chimney land on his head (that video), etc etc

I love his accent, there are a few people in our factory in Bury who talk just like Fred although generally the Bury accent is nasal and flat whereas Bolton and Chorley are more rounded and nasal and almost "west country".

I've been to have a look at his house a few times; it's just off the Bury-Bolton road. Wish I'd met the bloke.
