...and all vegetables, i understand. Frozen veg is flash frozen in a matter of seconds. Slow freezing makes it go all mushy.Another reason for the ‘do not freeze’ instruction is that it would degrade the food stuck.
This is particularly common in certain types of fish and fruits where ice crystals can form inside the product and break done the structure.
Its not dangerous but makes the product less pleasant to eat.
